The majestic Andalusian is pure poetry in motion, and one of the most influential breeds in the world. The pride of Spain, the Andalusian horse hails from the Andalucian province in southern Spain. Though commonly referred to as the Andalusian, the breed is known as Pura Raza Espanola (Spanish for "Pure Spanish Breed") or PRE in Spain. The breed is also highly prized as a parade mount. There is a Spanish proverb that states "A horse is worth more than riches." The Andalusian holds a unique place in the countr's culture and traditions.
